Getz is an international marketing & services company with over 80 offices in 36 countries around the world. The origins of the company go back to 1852 when Joseph & Max Getz emigrated from Eastern Europe to the United States. They started with a small general store in Northern California by selling local products in and around the San Francisco area. Later they started exporting goods to China and other Asian countries.

Business expanded and around the turn of the century, Getz opened offices in Shanghai and then Hong Kong and South-East-Asia. More followed and now it's major offices cover the whole of the Asia-Pacific region.


History Timeline

1860 -

The world’s largest  American non-commodity international marketing & service company – Getz & Co. was formed in Lower Lake, California by Joseph Getz, a Prussian immigrant.

1918 -

Getz Bros, the Philippine subsidiary started its operations initially on indent basis and eventually followed by its stock distribution business providing services like brand marketing, sales/distribution, in-store merchandising, promotions and events and logistics.

1970s -

Merged with Muller & Phipps worldwide with a combined business portfolio ranging from Consumer, Industrial, Chemicals, Publications, Cosmetics, Liquor, Moving, Heavy Machineries/ Equipments to Pharmaceutical complete with such services as contract manufacturing, sales & marketing, distribution & logistics and merchandising.

1990 -

Getz Bros. formed its Medical Division (sales & marketing team) to exclusively market and distribute internationally known brands of medical devices and supplies.

1991 -

Getz Bros. expanded its Consumer business network and started to acquire new principals and agencies.

2006 -

Getz Bros. further expanded its newly organized Pharmaceutical sales operations.
